Posted September 19, 2018 07:14:51I’ve been a fan of Bethesda’s Fallout franchise for a long time, and its only natural that I’d want to play the newest entry in the franchise, Fallout 4.
And for some reason, the game has never sold out on Steam.
I got my hands on Fallout 4 a few months ago, and I still haven’t finished it.
It’s currently in the top three best selling PC games on Steam at the moment, and despite Bethesda’s stated intent to sell the game off at the end of the year, the studio hasn’t even announced a date for a sale.
I have a good number of Fallout 4’s DLC packs in the works, and although they’re available for free, Bethesda has never made any official announcements about when those DLC packs will be released.
I’ve always been a big fan of the game’s content, and after a while, I felt like Bethesda’s reluctance to announce when the next DLC would be released was disappointing.
So I’ve been asking around about what’s going on with Fallout 4, hoping that some of the information might help me decide whether to buy or not.
I reached out to Bethesda’s marketing team and got a reply from the Fallout team that they were still “planning to release a game” when they did not know when the game would be out.
When I asked about the possibility of an E3 release date, Bethesda’s Mark Darrah confirmed that the company is still planning to release Fallout 4 on the E3 calendar, which is not the same as the E2, E3, or the holiday season.
In the case of the Fallout 4 E3 date, it will be announced on the Bethesda Game Studios Twitch channel at a later date.
If you’re wondering why Bethesda doesn’t just announce when it will release Fallout 5, it’s because they don’t want to sell a game that they know they will sell more copies than the game actually has sold.
For this reason, Bethesda does not officially announce when Fallout 5 will be out, but it does announce on the Fallout forums and other channels.
It was a little frustrating, but Bethesda’s announcement that it would be releasing Fallout 4 the day after E3 didn’t sit well with me.
I also reached out on Reddit to ask about whether Bethesda could announce a date or a release date for the Fallout: New Vegas expansion pack at E3.
Darrah responded that he had no update on Fallout: NV, but that he would be happy to talk about it at a future event.
Darrah also confirmed that Bethesda would be announcing more Fallout news in the coming weeks, which includes Fallout 4 news.
If you want to keep up to date with all the Fallout news, you can follow @TheFallout and @Bungie on Twitter.
I know Bethesda will announce Fallout 4 at some point, and if you want some more information about the game and its DLC, I recommend checking out the Fallout forum or TheFallout.com.
